ZINO - Subsription Management UX Case Study
is a mobile-first app that helps users manage, track, and cancel subscriptions with ease. This case study covers the product journey from research to design and testing.
Year :
2025
Industry :
Mobile App
Client :
Zino
Project Duration :
6 weeks

Problem
As subscription-based services multiply, users are often unaware of what they're paying for - until it’s too late.
ZINO addresses this lack of visibility by making subscription data transparent and actionable.

Research & Insights
Using interviews and surveys, we found users rarely track subscriptions, relying on memory or email receipts, and only react after unexpected charges.
Interviews: 5 users
Survey: 34+ users
80% admitted forgetting about active subscriptions
76% charged after forgetting to cancel

Personas
Martin
Age: 35
Role: Product Manager
Goals: Stay on top of multiple software subscriptions for work and home
Frustrations: Hidden fees, forgotten trials, lack of clear overviews
"I need one place to manage everything I pay for monthly."
Anna
Age: 21
Role: University Student
Goals: Try services on trial, avoid wasteful spending
Frustrations: Forgetting to cancel trials, being overcharged
"I don’t want to spend money on something I haven’t used in weeks."
Ideation & Task Mapping
We started with fast paper sketches to explore structure and user goals. These low-risk drafts helped map ideas, align priorities, and frame core flows.
